I read this line the other day.
“If you want to see the true measure of a man, watch how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.”
I’m not a Harry Potter type of a guy but J. K. Rowling is right.
Greatness is not measured by the position you hold in society, neither is it measured by your money.
It is measured by how much you care about others, no matter what their social status is.
Being great means being humble.
Nathan Testa, 14, came to a Bruce Springsteen concert in Brisbane, Australia holding a sign that read: “Missed school. In the shit now. Can I play 'Growin' Up' with you?"
Incredibly, Springsteen invited him up and magic happened as the two jammed on stage to the delight of the crowd.
During the middle of the song, Bruce asked the band to stop for a moment as Nathan played solo.
Bruce even coached the teen on “rock fundamentals” - how to pose like a rock star with their legs spread and guitars held high in the air.
The teen got the rock-and-roll lesson of a lifetime on stage in front of thousands of people.
This is one damn great moment in music.
The “Boss” is typing now:
"When I was your age I got my first guitar. I brought it home and I realized it wasn't about how well you played it, it was about how good you looked doing it. So I got in front of the mirror and I tried some different poses."
Mike drop.
People make music.
Bruce makes memories.
Hats off to The Boss.
