If We Don’t Change The Way We Teach, We Are Doomed

Updated: Dec 29, 2023

Imagine this.

You're playing hide and seek with a ninja.

Spoiler alert - you're never gonna win.

Just like our education system trying to catch up with the memory game machines are acing.

Jack Ma sounded the alarm in 2018, and now, it's not just ringing; it's a full-blown scream.

“Education is a big challenge now. If we do not change the way we teach, thirty years later we’ll be in trouble because the way we teach, the thing we teach our kids, are the things from the past 200 years…it’s knowledge-based. And we cannot teach our kids to compete with machines… they are smarter. We have to teach something unique so that a machine can never catch up with us. In this way, thirty years later our kids will have the chance.” - Jack Ma

Now, let's talk dots.

Step one, gather them up.

Dive into the world of art, literature, music, psychology, and even magicians and comedians.

Life unfolds like a dot-to-dot puzzle, and the more dots you gather, the more extraordinary connections you can weave.

Forge these connections as if your life hinges on it - because, in this unpredictable world, it kind of does.

Imagine if Steve Jobs only knew about tech or Shakespeare only knew about words.

Boring, right?

It's the combo, the mix, the fusion – that's where the magic happens.

Here come two stats hitting harder than a double shot of espresso.

Did you know 65% of kids entering primary school today will end up working in jobs that haven't been dreamt up yet?

The game changes every second.

And get this – 94% of employers don’t care about your major; they want you to be the black belt of critical thinking.

Boom!

Schools of today were born in the era of assembly lines, pumping out worker bees.

The problem is we're not in the bee business anymore.

It’s not about memorizing the periodic table; it’s about understanding the elements of life.

In a world that's changing faster than a superhero costume, we need minds that can adapt, evolve, and dance with chaos.

Forget the 'what' – it's about the 'why' and 'how.'

We need free thinkers who don’t just swim downstream but upstream thinkers who question the whole damn river.

The future is calling, and it’s time we shift the question from “Will this be on the test?” to “Will this guide us on the road to success?”

School's out, but the future is in.
