Don’t think, feel

Updated: Dec 19, 2022

When you set out to do something, it’s a common mistake to focus on the method more than the goal. If there's one area where most people seem to completely miss the Moon for their focus on the finger, it’s in the area of marketing.

People go crazy about figuring out which social media platform is the best to attract customers.

They argue over the best time to post.

Some focus on crafting irresistible headlines.

Others debate the length of the post.

There are those who swear by content marketing.

There are those who do email marketing.

There are those who cold call.

Others claim branding is the game.

No, 6 second video rules.

No, 30 second video is better.

Outdoor vs indoor.

Print vs digital.

Smal agency vs big agency.

Do I start a blog?

Do I develop a product?

Do I try to make my living off of affiliate links or advertisements?

And the list goes on and on.

Let me tell you this.

None of this matters.

When you start getting too obsessed over the method, you completely lose track of what your goal was in the first place. It’s like turning on a light to look at darkness. Analyze it and it’s gone.

In the end, all methods are fine as long as they get you where you want to go.
